This grand living space is part of a traditional and refined Hamptons residence. Here, cultural influences are mixed with contemporary form and color. Custom high–back wing chairs, a 16–foot round silk and wool area rug, silk chandelier and magenta grass cloth walls add drama to the traditional setting. Photo by Christopher Wesnofske

This “petite salon” is an intimate space to unwind during all seasons. Walls are hand painted to mimic silk wall covering and a custom media cabinet was built with an integrated hydraulic television lift to showcase artwork when the TV is not in use. Photo by Christopher Wesnofske

To retain this billiard room’s charm, all existing cabinetry, including the unique cue stick holder, was restored. The mahogany wood paneling with ivory lacquer inserts and the iridescent ochre grass-cloth paper above it create drama. An Iron X–frame chandelier with resin shades offers contemporary balance.
